HISTORY
Our story begins not in Yachats, but up the road in Toledo
1953–1954 — “A seed is planted.”
In the summer of 1953, the First Baptist Church of Toledo sponsored a Vacation Bible School in Waldport.
After several years and now as an established church, Walport would do the same.
By July 1967, that vision in Yachats took its first visible step with a mission Vacation Bible School.
By 1982, after roughly fifteen years of mission presence in Yachats, it was time to stand on its own. In October 10, 1982that mission became: Yachats Baptist Church.
